Beyond the Box Workshops are interactive, age-appropriate learning experiences designed to give children practical skills, confidence, and knowledge they can carry with them beyond the classroom and into everyday life.

Through engaging activities, conversations, creativity, and hands-on learning, children are encouraged to think bigger, believe in themselves, and explore possibilities for their future.

​

Building confidence, setting goals, and imagining what's possible.

Children explore their strengths, identify their dreams, set age-appropriate goals, and learn that big dreams can begin with small steps.

 

Money Matters

​

Building healthy money habits early.

Children learn about needs versus wants, saving, spending, budgeting, earning, and making thoughtful financial choices through fun, age-appropriate activities.

Big Feelings, Strong Kids

​

Understanding emotions and building healthy coping skills.

Children learn to recognize and express their feelings, develop healthy ways to cope with challenges, strengthen relationships, and identify trusted adults who can support them.

 

Speak Up

​

Finding your voice and learning to advocate for yourself.

Children practice communication, problem-solving, asking questions, expressing their needs, making healthy choices, and knowing when and how to ask for help.

​How the Program Works

​

Beyond the Box Workshops are offered at community locations throughout Delaware, including libraries, community centers, schools, and other partner sites. Workshops are designed for children ages 6–12 and feature engaging, hands-on activities that make learning practical, meaningful, and fun.

​

Workshops may be offered as individual sessions or as part of a series, depending on the topic and community opportunity. All children ages 6–12 are welcome to participate, unless a specific workshop has different age requirement
